Per a recent FDA regulatory change, Expiration Dates are no longer allowed on Dietary Supplements without hard scientific evidence to prove the date is accurate. Instead, the FDA does allow good-faith "Best By, Use By" dating as a guide to consumers. FDA and USDA shelf-life experts are on record as saying that consumers can expect potency and efficacy for a full two-years beyond Expiration Dates they find on their supplement labels. Goring forward, of course, Expiration Dates will simply vanish because, as the FDA makes clear, they have no basis in reality and have no bearing on efficacy, potency OR safety. Our chief herbalist and company founder, Derek Clontz, to give you full confidence in your dating, is evaluating representative bottles of all herbs and supplements that we sell organoleptically for characteristic color, fragrance and texture.
